Mael's Custom Two Tides Board — Tahiti
A first look at the custom Two Tides surfboard built for Mael, our 12-year-old athlete in Tahiti.
This board means a lot to us because it represents what can happen when you genuinely believe an idea is possible and keep working towards it. When Two Tides first started, the thought of creating a custom board for a young surfer on the other side of the world and eventually hand-delivering it to Tahiti sounded pretty crazy — but step by step, it's becoming real.
We're incredibly grateful for how far Two Tides has already come and for everyone who has supported the journey so far.
The next goal is to get the funds together to take this board to Tahiti ourselves, hand it over to Mael in person and hopefully paddle out for a surf with him.
Until then, this board is a reminder to keep backing yourself, keep pushing the idea and see how far it can take you.

Unboxing Our Custom Carbon Fibre Two Tides Board
Seeing this board for the first time was honestly one of those moments that didn't feel real.
What started as an idea had suddenly become a fully custom Two Tides carbon fibre surfboard sitting in front of me — something I'd actually get to paddle out on and surf myself.
Every time I take this board into the water, it reminds me why we started Two Tides in the first place. It's proof that ideas can become real if you keep working at them, even when things get difficult, progress feels slow or people don't fully understand what you're trying to build.
There have been plenty of hard moments along the way, but surfing this board always brings me back to one thing:
Anything is possible if you keep pushing.
This isn't just a surfboard to me. It represents the journey so far, how much can change when you believe in something, and how much further we still want to take Two Tides.
